UFC upstart Khamzat Chimaev (10-0) has made himself into a household name that even casual fans can recognize. In the past two years, the Swedish fighter has managed to rack four dominant wins in the promotion. He has beaten the likes of Li Jingliang, Gerald Meerschaert. Rhys McKee, and John Phillips.

The mixed martial artist maintains a very small trusted circle of friends and only follows a handful of people on Twitter, including a curious name from Bellator in Valerie Loureda.

Only following 18 people on the platform, where every major celebrity from every major industry is available, is a bit strange. However, finding a name like Valerie Loureda from rival promotions has spawned an armada of new memes that will make you laugh.

MMA Gone Wild made this discovery and shared it on Twitter, and what followed was quite hysterical.

However, the MMA fighter is following 700 plus people on Instagram. The two platforms are essentially similar and help general people to follow their favorite celebrities. It is indeed quite strange.

One fan shared an interesting bit from the fighter’s Instagram and talked about Chimaev’s flirting skills.

Is this mutual respect between the two mixed martial artists, or is there something else?

One thing we know about The Wolf is that he wants to spare no one in UFC. Perhaps he will make a detour for Bellator as well in the future.

The Swedish star is now gunning for a world title in the welterweight division but has his good eye on the middleweight gold as well. He has called out both Kamaru Usman and Israel Adesanya for fight and fans just might get a chance to see both matchups.
