Aaron Pico shared his future combat career plans with MMA Junkie Radio. The MMA fighter has a record of 10-3 in MMA. He is eyeing a title shot with a victory over Jeremy Kennedy, at Bellator 286.
What Aaron Pico said about Conor McGregor?
The featherweight fighter made his Bellator debut in 2017, with a loss, and since hasn’t looked back. He shared his future prospect of trying the boxing gloves in a ring. Furthermore, he had an interesting opinion, when a question was put forth, whether he thinks that he could have done a better job than the former UFC champion, Conor McGregor?
The American replied positively and responded, “Yeah, I really do… I think I could have for sure. I can box.”
He explained further, “I’m 26. I’m relatively young and boxing is not out of the question. But I want to do it the right way because let’s just be honest, a lot of MMA guys can’t box.”
The 26-year-old fighter further added, “It’s hard, but I developed that muscle memory from a young age. I was in the boxing club many, many times. I sparred all over California. I would go here, spar there, go to LA and spar guys there, so I’m pretty good.”
In the same way, he spilled the beans on his boxing background. He said, “I was sparring those guys that are world champions now, and I was holding my own. It’s not just me talking out of my a** (that) I can do that.”
The Bellator rising star is on a 6-win streak. His 7 victories out of his 10 career victories have come by knockout. Going by his recent record, it is no doubt that he is hopeful of showcasing his boxing skills.
