After living up to the hype and showcasing his unique striking abilities against Kevin Holland on his debut, Michael ‘Venom’ Page succumbed to his first defeat in the UFC against Irish star Ian Garry at UFC 303. Nevertheless, it was a pretty 50-50 affair, a sentiment that Dana White shared following their fight. In the end, Garry narrowly managed to get the win via decision.

However, Michael Page took the loss as a champion and decided to make some changes in his tactics for his future fights. He took that loss as a learning curve. “When defeat comes, accept it as a signal that your plans are not sound, rebuild those plans, and set sail once more toward your coveted goal,” Page wrote on Instagram.

Now, let’s move over to check out the losses that Michael ‘Venom’ Page has suffered in his entire fighting career, apart from the UFC.
‘MVP’s other MMA losses and record
Michael Page currently boasts an impressive record of 22 wins with only 3 defeats. His first MMA defeat came in 2019 in Bellator MMA against Douglas Lima via a stoppage. However, he avenged his first defeat in 2021 after he swept a split decision victory for himself. His second defeat came, more recently, in 2022 against a formidable opponent named Logan Storley. Yet, it bears mention that this bout was quite competitive and lost via a split decision only while losing the chance to become the interim Bellator Welterweight Champion.

Apart from these defeats, he also sustained a defeat against former UFC fighter Mike Perry in BKFC. This fight took place in the year 2022 when the duo butted heads at BKFC 27. Perry opened up the bout with a clean right fist and with his greater experience at bare-knuckle fighting, ‘Platinum’ was indeed dominating the squared ring against ‘Venom’. By the end of the fifth round, both of the fighters were completely bloodied, but the judges simply could not choose a winner. The fighters, therefore, entered a sudden death round. Although the former Bellator contender showcased exceptional fighting prowess, he lost the bout against Mike Perry, as the judges’ scorecards tilted in the former UFC fighter’s favor.
Following his loss to ‘Platinum’ Mike Perry, Page got himself signed to the Ultimate Fighting Championship and greatly impressed the fight fans on his debut. But with a loss in his last outing, do you believe MVP will rise victorious against the formidable Shara Magomedov? Let us know what you think in the comments down below.
