Dana White just gave a surprise Christmas gift to the fight fans. Michael Page is finally under the UFC banner. The fighter has been slated to fight against Kevin Holland at the UFC 299 event. White’s sudden announcement was a shock to not only the combat sports fans but also to the fighter as well.

While having a conversation on YouTube with Kaz Crossley & Ollie Sutherland “Venom’ explained that it was a surreal moment for him. ” It’s a bit still a bit surreal, like, you know, we were watching the presser after the fights yesterday. Dana White just mentioning my name. It’s like, it’s a bit weird, isn’t it?”

Page further explained that his phone rang multiple times after the event and he got the news from multiple sources. Sutherland further questioned how PFL took advantage of the confusion and invited Page to their promotion, causing an uproar around the fighting world. “I think PFL was buzzing that they got that attention, but still, it was not official. You hadn’t said anything. So it was mind games,” said Sutherland.

Kevin Holland is not satisfied with PFL’s move

Dana White͏ and his team engaged in conversation with ͏Page shortly after the fighter’s release ͏from Bellator in July ͏2023. However, no contracts or signings were officially announced. When the PFL scen͏e emerged, Holl͏and appeared somewhat disappointed.

Holland remarked that it seems more like a financial decision than a move for building a legacy when discussing the rumored move by ‘MVP.’ Both promotions are offering substantial purses for a fighter of his caliber. However, it seems like Page has finally made his decision to choose UFC.
