However, back then, the ‘Tyson’ actor’s “good conscience” kept the legendary actor away from ‘Black Dynamite.’

Jai White is famous as a Hollywood actor. Additionally, he is someone who is passionate about MMA. The interview was a fine blend of both worlds.

 While talking about films, the ‘Falcon Rising’ actor mentioned why the 2009 film ‘Black Dynamite’ didn’t have Samuel L. Jackson in the cameo role. He said, “Samuel L. Jackson graciously was going to do his cameo from this busy, he just gotten a back surgery and still was going to come do it. That’s what that’s the greatest, that’s the biggest movie star in the world. The most money-making movie star in the world. He was coming to do the movie but I couldn’t in good conscience have him in during that kind of pain for this, but I hope he does it for another. I got other movies, I got other movies.” According to Jai White, it was Samuel L. Jackson’s health issues that prevented him from casting the legendary actor in the movie.

The impact of certain roles on actors

In the same interview, Michael Jai White mentioned how some characters can have a great impact on the actors. He mentioned this to explain what happened to his dear friend, Tupac Shakur. Jai White mentioned that when the world-famous rapper played the role of Bishop in the 1992 movie ‘Juice,’ his character changed. Jai White mentioned the seriousness of the whole situation.

He detailed how the character influenced the young rapper, and he felt it was impossible to come out of the character. According to him, Shakur was a young, innocent boy who got carried away when people began to worship his movie character. The character Bishop was a member of the notorious gang in Harlem. Hence, Shakur tried to be like that character in his real life as well.
