After being termed as a quitter by many fighters, a fire ignited inside Charles Oliveira as he took on the mantle to become the lightweight champion of the world. Interestingly, ‘Do Bronx’ earned his title when he defeated Michael Chandler at UFC 262. After that, he defended his title once and that too against Dustin Poirier at UFC 269. However, he was stripped of his title when he fought against Justin Gaethje as he missed his weight just by 0.5 pounds. Despite winning the fight, Oliveira never regained his title.

Finally, he faced defeat at the hands of Islam Makhachev in his second attempt at the vacant lightweight title. Regardless, a victory against Chandler would bring him back to the title reign picture but who knows? What’s your take on their fight? State your thoughts in the comments below.
