Conor McGregor is back in the saddle, and the MMA community is abuzz with excitement as the Irishman prepares for his highly anticipated return to the octagon. ‘The Notorious’ has already started his journey back to the top, wearing the coach’s hat for the 31st season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter’ against Michael Chandler, with the two set to face each other in the octagon later this year.

The matchup has stirred up a lot of opinions, with some believing that McGregor will dominate Chandler with ease, while others suggest that he may be rusty in front of the ‘Iron’. Amidst all the commotion, McGregor‘s former opponent Eddie Alvarez has voiced his support for ‘The Notorious’, stating that he sees McGregor vs. Chandler as a big mismatch for the latter. However, the former UFC Welterweight Champion Tyron Woodley has challenged Alvarez‘s prediction, revealing that ‘Iron’ won’t be a piece of cake for the Dubliner after all.

During a recent interview with Ariel Helwani, Eddie Alvarez put forth his stance on the highly talked about matchup between the Irishman and ‘Iron’. The former UFC champion Alvarez has fought both McGregor and Chandler and based on the experience, he favored McGregor over the former Bellator champ.

Upon doing so, Alvarez went on to describe Chandler as a weaker fighter and suggested that ‘The Notorious’ will be too big of a competition for him. However, Tyron Woodley begs to differ.

Tyron Woodley wrote, “Hmmmmmmmm @mikechandlermma is a better wrestler than Khabib. Fight fans love KOs. Us wrestlers fall in love with the striking if we get a couple. Pressure bust pipes. @thenotoriousmma breaks and chandler has pressure. It’s an even fight. Let’s watch it. Eddie is a G and lost to chandler twice and conor once. maybe he is the right person to speak, but also could be the wrong person.”
