Conor McGregor narrowly avoided a clean sweep for his team on TUF 31 against the opposing coach, Michael Chandler. After his teammate Rico DiSciullo won against ‘Iron’s teammate Hunter Azure with an incredible finish, McGregor rewarded him with a Lamborghini test drive as recognition of his hard work and victory. However, that gesture did not impress Michael Chandler.
People were afraid that ‘Notorious’s time in TUF 31 may come to an end after his team lost seven consecutive fights. However, things turned around in the final week of the quarterfinals and Rico DiSciullo advanced to the semi-finals. He is the only fighter to have won a fight from Team McGregor. As Conor McGregor was exiting the UFC Apex, DiSciullo approached him for a ride in his $280,570 Lamborghini Aventador Roadster. The former double champion didn’t even hesitate one bit. He said, “Do you wanna have a rip of it? No problem.” This gesture shocked the prospect as he was just expecting to get a ride and not drive it himself. McGregor wanted to be sure if he’d driven a sports car before. However, DiSciullo went through with it and drove the car with his TUF coach by the side. It was one of his most memorable moments for the prospect. DiSciullo said, “It’s definitely a memorable day and I will not forget it.” Despite this heartwarming gesture, Michael Chandler was critical of Conor McGregor.
