It is hard for any UFC fan to keep calm as the Irish superstar Conor McGregor is back in the MMA world. He has finally returned with a bang to kickstart the 31st season of The Ultimate Fighter. However, fans are equally excited to watch the three-time Bellator lightweight champion, Michael Chandler, coach against McGregor. The two coaches have already touched down in Las Vegas for the shooting. Some of the photos and videos circulating on social media from the TUF set to make it clear that they have already begun the battle.
When it comes to Chandler, it is a huge opportunity to prove his worth in the promotion after his successful reign at Bellator MMA. The “Iron,” with a record of twenty-three victories and eight losses, is going to fight against the former two-division champion after the end of TUF 31. In a recent interview, the 36-year-old mentioned how badly he wants to beat the Irishman in TUF and then make sure that his guys get contracts. Chandler didn’t hesitate to mention how he wants to be better at everything than McGregor.

Recently, the American fighter elaborated on the series of emotions that he goes through while coaching against the Irishman. He also opened up about his current goals. Chandler was talking to The Mac Life’s Oscar Willis, and during the conversation, he said, “You’re trying to just wade through all your different emotions while you’re also in the presence of the guy that you know you’re going to fight, who you’re also competing against.”
Talking further on the topic Chandler added, “Right now you’re competing on a reality show. You’re competing for your fighters, but you know that every single inch that you take is also starting the battleground. Starting to pave your way toward and later on fightings. It’s a constant intense kind of scenario, you know and yeah, me and Conor want to win this thing.”

“I want to beat him in every single fight, want to beat him in the competition, want to be a better coach than him, I want to be better at everything and he wants to be the exact same thing.”

Michael Chandler also reinforced how they both equally want to win the fight and that it’s going to be a fierce competition. Chandler didn’t forget to mention that the aim of both the fighters was to make sure that their guys get contracts in the UFC. As per recent reports, the premiere of the reality series is expected on Tuesday, May 30, 2023.
