With his 10th win under the UFC, Petr Yan made a strong statement against former two-time flyweight champion and ranked #3 contender, Deiveson Figueiredo. In UFC’s first outing to China in a decade, Yan triumphed in a grueling five-round battle, emerging victorious after 25 minutes in the octagon, visibly shaking Figueiredo. Yan was so excited after the win that during the post-fight interview, he laid out his plans for a title shot.
However, amidst the celebration, Yan’s son, Daniil, stole the spotlight. After the fight, Daniil, who had been at the cage side with his father, couldn’t hold back his tears. When asked by broadcast team member Michael Bisping to comment on his father’s achievement, an emotional Daniil sobbed, saying, “I am very happy that my dad won!”
The moment reminded Bisping of a similar one years ago when Joe Rogan interviewed his own son, Callum. Recently, Bisping shared his thoughts on X, writing, “When I saw his son enter the octagon, I had to ask him a question. I always remember @joerogan doing the same thing with @calpolkidSF, and I’ll never forget that special moment.”

Now, years later, Michael Bisping’s son, Callum, is following in his father’s footsteps, making a name for himself in NCAA wrestling. However, Bisping, a natural fighter, isn’t limiting his talents to just the octagon or commentary—he’s preparing for his next big move in an action movie, stepping back onto the Hollywood screen.
Michael Bisping ready for big screen comeback

Now, four years later, Michael is gearing up for his return, with a role in Den of Thieves: Pantera, set to release in January next year. Bisping stars alongside Gerard Butler and O’Shea Jackson Jr in the action crime drama film. Earlier this week, Lionsgate dropped the high-voltage trailer for the film, where Bisping makes a brief appearance. He isn’t the only fighter making an appearance in the movie—Cyril Gane is also set for his second film role, following his recent appearance in the Netflix limited French series Cage, alongside Jon Jones and Georges St-Pierre.
Now, All eyes are on January 10 as Den of Thieves: Pantera prepares to debut in theaters. Anticipation is high to see if Bisping’s role can leave a lasting impression, similar to Conor McGregor’s buzzworthy turn in Road House 2 or Jon Jones’ impactful appearance in Netflix’s Cage earlier this year.
