Merab Dvalishvili has become one of the most exciting UFC fighters over the past few years. He is now the No. 1 contender for the bantamweight championship. However, his journey to the top wasn’t as easy as it looks. Fans have reacted to a post on social media showing Dvalishvili‘s journey from emigrating to the US at the age of 21 to becoming one of the best fighters currently in the UFC.

‘The Machine’ grew up as a boy in the capital of Georgia, Tbilisi. He emigrated to the US in 2013 and worked at construction sites as a worker and faced a lot of problems in the States. However, he was able to pull through and become a part of the biggest MMA promotion in the world.

Recently, a post was shared regarding Dvalishvili‘s journey from a construction worker to arguably one of the best fighters in the UFC on Instagram. Many fans reacted to the post, and even the Georgian fighter himself considered dropping a comment of his own.

‘The Machine’ took notice of the Instagram post on his journey and wrote: “work for your dream and everything is possible.” He thinks anyone can achieve anything as long as they work hard enough for it. Moreover, there were reactions from fans too. Let us take a look at some of them.

Many fans praised Dvalishvili‘s journey and claimed to be proud of him. One person commended his tremendous cardiac ability. However, some fans brought up the fighter pay issue and claim that he made more money as a construction worker than as a UFC fighter. Some believe that ‘The Machine’ would have never known he was a good fighter if he had a different lifestyle. Other fans related his journey to the journey of Demetrious Johnson. The fans believe that the United States is a country where everybody gets an opportunity.

Dvalishvili is currently the only credible contender to fight for the bantamweight title. However, he has refused to fight the current champion, Aljamain Sterling. It is due to the fact that both fighters shared a brotherly relationship and do not want to invite conflict. However, UFC president Dana White has warned Merab Dvalishvili not to get too emotional. We will have to wait and see what follows.
