Sean Strickland recently earned himself a new nemesis. It was none other than the former Navy SEAL, David Goggins. Strickland’s new enemy is quite popular for his running and motivational words on the internet. However, he attracted troubled waters when he decided to call Strickland out for a ‘Hell Week’ challenge.
Although the mixed martial artist accepted the challenge, he didn’t back away from throwing insults at the running extraordinaire. He claimed that he wanted the challenge to be violent. But now, ‘Tarzan’ decided to calm down.

After attacking Goggins on social media, Strickland took to Instagram and buried the hatchet. The former middleweight champion currently stands as the #1 contender in his division. He simply has to wait for Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis to settle their scores and determine the fate of the championship belt at UFC 305. However, waiting isn’t something that ‘Tarzan’ seems to like.
Strickland, in the IG video, said, “You know guys, if had to be completely honest, I think I’m just bored and angry, you know. I am the number 1 contender. I got to wait for Izzy and Dricus to fight to get my shot. What does one do? I’m bored and angry. I’m training, I’m in shape. But what does one do… I’m just bored and angry.”
Furthermore, the Californian fighter apologized to the former Navy SEAL in the captions and praised Goggins for his relentless running. He wrote, “Ok fine… I’m sorry goggins you’re cool I’m just bored and angry…. you can show up but if not it’s cool man you’re a solid runner, you have some cool qoutes.. My mental stability is coming back lol”

Strickland didn’t just stick to IG to convey his message for Goggins. He also took to X and declared that he was done making fun of the runner. But the story doesn’t end here. Nina Marie Daniele, the UFC reporter and social media influencer, came forward with an idea for the 33-year-old fighter. Let’s find out what it is.

Right after Strickland came forward with an apology on Instagram, Marie took to the comments section with a piece of pretty good advice. She asked Strickland to start a podcast while waiting for the title shot. But the twist was when the guests wanted to leave. Daniele jokingly wrote that Strickland could make a tradition where his guests would have to fight him in order to leave the podcast premises.

And guess who Daniele proposed to be the first guest for the talk show? It was David Goggins. However, Strickland was all calmed down and wanted no more violence. Instead, he opted to train to get out of boredom. He replied, “when I don’t have fights to train for I find my mentally sanity slowly unraveling.”
