The much-awaited trilogy fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier is just days away. Ever since that fight was announced, people from all around the world have been sharing their views on the fight. Recently boxing legend Tyson Fury also commented on the fight.
Fury recently gave his prediction for the UFC 264 clash. He said, “My Prediction for the McGregor-Poirier fight is that I think McGregor will win this time. I think he’s trained hard, and he’s got it all to prove. It will be a great event and one to watch, tune in.”
‘The Gypsy King’ is one of the greatest boxers of all time and knows how to win big fights. Therefore, his prediction that ‘Notorious’ will beat Poirier would certainly encourage McGregor fans. Fury and McGregor have always shown respect towards each other and therefore it came as no surprise that Fury chose ‘Notorious’ to win the fight.

Fury himself is set to compete in his trilogy fight against Deontay Wilder for the world heavyweight boxing title. He has been training for the fight at the UFC Performance Center and from there he made the above prediction.
Earlier in an interview with Michael Bisping, Fury had also talked about how he believes McGregor’s career could be soon over if he doesn’t win this fight.
Leading up to the fight between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier
Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier first faced each other at the UFC 178 event back in 2014. ‘Notorious’ was victorious in that fight via a first-round TKO. After the first fight, both fighters went in different directions, with McGregor becoming the superstar of UFC and a two-division champion and Poirier getting his hands on an interim title.

The much-awaited rematch between the fighters happened at UFC 257. This time ‘The Diamond’ was victorious via a 2nd round TKO. With the score settled at 1-1, fans were eagerly waiting for a third fight between the fighters and finally, their wish came true when the UFC announced the trilogy fight for UFC 264.
