Conor McGregor‘s debut in Hollywood seems to have a bumpy road. The former dual-weight champion stepped into the glam of Holywood through the help of his debut in ‘Road House’ alongside Jake Gyllenhaal. The movie was promoted heavily by the UFC star as well as by the entire team, however, seems like it failed to grasp that contrast that the fans were looking for.

The Movie revolves around Jake Gyllenhaal who acts as the protagonist (Dalton0 in the movie. He is the main lead, a former UFC middleweight fighter who has returned now and working as a bouncer in a troubled beach bar. The story gets interesting when Conor McGregor makes the entry. McGregor acts as the antagonist of the movie (Knox).

The movie promised tremendous fights, story, and pacing, however, seems like it lacked every bit of it. The movie marketed itself as the remake of the cult classic movie released under the same name back in 1989. The movie is everything except the remake. After the movie was released on Amazon Prime on the 21st of March, fans flooded the internet with reviews of the film, and seems like the fans specifically the fight fans didn’t enjoy the movie as much.

Even though it’s not a remake, Road House seems like a film ͏that͏ ͏st͏ar͏ted ͏with good in͏tentions as a modern action͏-co͏medy. However, the͏ ͏final result re͏minds ͏us why Amazon chose to releas͏e it͏ straight to streaming in͏stead of in th͏eate͏rs. The͏re’s not much ͏humor in ͏this͏ movie, and it mostly falls short of͏ the ͏original in ͏ever͏y way.

The movie was supposed to be a masterclass considering the fact that McGregor admitted that he gave his best in the movie. The fighter even went as far as to state that acting is more difficult than fighting. however, despite everything seems like ‘Road House’ failed to capture the hearts of the fans.
