UFC star Conor McGregor suffered a horrific leg injury when he faced Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. While the Irish fighter, under the influence of adrenaline, declared, “It’s not over,” the possibility of him never returning to the Octagon loomed large. The gruesome injury threatened to end the career of the former UFC champion. However, his grit and determination and an old friend’s help helped him recover and bounce back.

The incredible story of his recovery, with the help of Heather Milligan, at least partly forms the backdrop of the Irish fighter’s upcoming documentary. Slated to release on May 17, the documentary titled ‘McGregor Forever’ also covers the role of Heather Milligan, who previously worked with ‘Notorious’ during his 2013 ACL tear. Notably, she is also the girlfriend of multiple Mr. Olympia winner and popular figure, Arnold Schwarzenegger.

The Dublin-born in one of his previous tweets, during his rough patch of 2013, had labeled Milligan as “best in the business”. Thus, he penned, “Doing Rehab with Heather Milligan!! Best in the BUSINESS!! DO yo thang H-Milli haha”

McGregor and Milligan’s team worked wonders together, and as a result, the fans are expecting the UFC cash cow to mark his Octagon return later this year.
