UFC women’s flyweight contender, Mayra Bueno Silva is set to take on Macy Chiasson at UFC 303. She has been on an absolute tear in the promotion, however, she is currently running on a one-fight losing streak. The Brazilian mixed martial artist is undoubtedly striving for nothing but victory.
Sheetara is one of the most dominating forces in the women’s bantamweight division. She has a finish rate of 80%, with 7 of her 10 wins coming by submission and 1 win by knockout. However, the bantamweight has lost thrice in her career, or could we say thrice and a half!

Mayra Bueno Silva: all Losses in her professional career
The first loss that Mayra Bueno Silva faced in her career was against Maryna Moroz, where she lost via unanimous decision. Silva had trouble finding her feet in the fight as Moroz threw almost double what Silva threw while securing a couple of takedowns.
The 32-year-old’s second loss came at the hands of Manon Fiorot, at UFC fight night: Ladd vs. Dumont, on 16th October 2021. Her loss came in the same manner as her first, via a unanimous decision, as Silva failed to keep up with Fiorot’s pace, and was outstruck in the fight.
Mayra Bueno Silva also has one draw on her record which came against Montana De La Rosa back on 27th February 2021 at UFC fight night: Rozenstruik vs. Gane. The fight happened to be too close to call, as both fighters seemed to have an equal footing in their fight.

Silva’s last fight at UFC 297 was also a loss, as Raquel Pennington won the bout via a unanimous decision. However, these three losses and a draw weren’t the only setbacks Silva when through. Did you know that despite her dominating performance against former UFC champ, Holy Holm, it was overturned to a no-contest? Here’s why!

Sheetara’s win overturned to a no-contest
Mayra Bueno Silva put on a dominating performance against Holy Holm, back in July of 2023. Silva won the fight via a Ninja choke in the second round. Yet, it was overturned because of a banned substance found in her system. It was later revealed that it was the result of taking a prescribed drug for her ADHD.
But despite the setback, it is undeniable that Silva deserved the title shot. She has one of the best finish rates in the women’s division and is sure to bring in the hype for her fights. With over 7 finishes by submission in her professional MMA career, the bantamweight title challenger is now one of the most feared contenders in the division.
