There are hardly any bouts in combat sports that get so much attention as the long-teased bout between Francis Ngannou and Jon Jones is getting. Even when the two fighters are now part of two different promotions, fans can’t help themselves from discussing a potentiation matchup. But it is not just the fans who are excited about this idea. Experts alike seem to be keen on seeing the two behemoths of the sports finally locking horns. Many big names in sports have talked about the matter, giving their opinion.

The latest of these came from Henry Cejudo in his recent interview with The Schmo. If the former champion is to believe, the fight can still happen if the two promotions coordinate together. This comes despite both UFC and Ngannou being extra critical of each other ever since the heavyweight’s departure from the promotion. In Henry Cejudo’s own words:

“I can see Francis Ngannou fighting Jones if everything goes well, you know? Maybe the UFC and PFL might want to co-promote, and there could be something along those lines. But, I don’t know.”

Previously, the said bout between the two martial artists was booked for UFC 285. But despite this, nothing could materialize due to the Cameronian-French fighter leaving the promotion following failed negotiations. Months later, ‘Bones’ is now the new heavyweight champion, while ‘Predator’ is part of the PFL. Nevertheless, the two had kept calling each other out in the past, going back and forth on Twitter.
