Conor McGregor was supposed to make a comeback at UFC 303 against Michael Chandler but his plans were derailed by a sudden pinky toe injury. The reason for his withdrawal was made public after the cancellation of the fight and the fans were enraged by the fact that McGregor withdrew from the clash just because of a toe injury. Lightweight champion Islam Makhachev and Conor McGregor’s former rival, Rafael Dos Anjos, even took a dig at the former dual-weight champion.
When the entire community seems to be divided, Alex Pereira has come forward to seek McGregor’s support. During the UFC 303 weigh-ins and press conference, Pereira was asked what was his opinion on ‘Mystic Mac’s pullout. ‘Poatan’ asserted that it is not good to judge anyone if they don’t want to fight, “I can never judge people’s pain, and it’s different scenarios, different situations,” said Alex Pereira.
He further added, “He made his name, he made his money, and I’m kind of halfway there. I fought with a broken toe in my situation, but maybe if I were in his situation, maybe I would’ve not fought, so I can’t judge.”

However, if we look from a logical point of view, McGregor’s decision to pull out was the best choice, as per Joe Rogan. “He’s [Conor McGregor] never pulled out of any fight before. This is the first time he pulled out, and I think it’s wise. I mean, if you do have a broken toe and you are going into a fight, and you did go into the last fight injured, what if the fu**ing toe became an issue? What if he throws a kick, and he smashes it again and he’s in agony and he can’t move? “ said Rogan on his podcast ‘The Fight Companion’
