As the conference progressed, a reporter asked Max Holloway about his plans to move up in the weight class, considering he has almost fought every fighter in his division. Max responded with a hint of uncertainty, saying, “We’ll see what happens. Never say never, man.”
He further added, “We can talk to the UFC and see if they let it do that. They don’t like people splitting their time too much. But the beautiful thing is, when you get a belt, you can do whatever you want. That’s the main goal right now.”

He also added, “I mean, his IQ is super good, man. I thought he’d be a little more inexperienced, but he rang it tonight. He fought five rounds. I thought so he’s going to be way more desperate. But he is super smart.”
