Lately, we have been seeing many notable figures getting into training in martial arts, such as Mark Zuckerberg and Tom Hardy. With UFC becoming a mainstream sport, it certainly did ignite the spirit of training in MMA among many people around the world. One of them is the multi-platinum-selling artist, Wiz Khalifa. However, the rapper isn’t new to the bandwagon. In fact, he’s undertaken MMA for a good few years now. And recently, he posted a training clip of himself, showcasing his MMA chops and the fans are rendered speechless over it.

During the podcast with Logan Paul, Wiz Khalifa revealed what pushed him to start training in MMA. “I’ve been training for like five years now. And, I don’t know, I f*ck with it, it’s just fun… It’s cool to learn new s***. I think the older you get, you just get into different things. Your body just tells you like what’s cool and what’s not cool.”

Further talking about his involvement in MMA the rapper stated, “So, I started lifting, and I went to Unbreakable with Jay Glazer, and just naturally, they just put me on this program… I’m kind of just open for whatever, you know, Jiu-Jitsu, wrestling, striking, it’s whatever. Like, if you wanna teach me some s**t, I’m down to learn.”

The 35-year-old musician can be seen delivering some powerful kicks during his training, demonstrating that all of his years of preparation have paid off.

The fans were astounded by the exhibition of his MMA prowess, which evoked a variety of reactions from them.

Given all the skills he’s acquired over the years from training in MMA, the rapper did once admit that he was open to jump into the cage someday, too.

Apart from being a top recording artist and an entrepreneur, Wiz Khalifa is one of the owners of PFL, too. Post becoming a stakeholder of the PFL, he did put out the word that if the situation demands, he wouldn’t mind putting on the fighting gloves himself.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, the rapper said, “I definitely have interest in doing it myself… I’m going to keep it clean as one of the owners now and I’m just going to take the steps, but I’m always training and if the opportunity presents itself and it’s something fun and it’s something that’s fun and it can be good for everybody, I don’t see why not.”
