With the right life partner, marriage can be one of life’s most beautiful things. Take Joe Rogan and Jessica Ditzel for example. Married for about 15 years, with two kids, Rogan and Ditzel are among the couples that people often look up to. Nevertheless, if the partners are not compatible, things can turn gruesome. And in a recent episode of ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’, the famed commentator talked about some marriages that turned nasty, and Rogan’s stories are just as scary as the others.
Down in the conversation with Francis Foster and Konstantin Kisin on episode #2140 of JRE, without wasting any time, Rogan pointed out the importance of choosing the right partner to spend one’s life with. After expressing his love for Ditzel, the podcaster revealed that some of his friends had their lives ruined because of bad marriages.

Rogan said, “You don’t want to ruin your life. Look, I’m very fortunate. I love my wife to death. I have friends that are in hell. They’re in hell. And I have friends that are in hell and they stay for the kids, and I have friends that are in hell and they’re not even, they don’t have kids. It’s like, and they both do it to each other. It’s not just the man, it’s not just the woman, it’s like some people just don’t work together. It just doesn’t work.”
Breaking a relationship, especially a marriage doesn’t only take a toll on one’s mind, but also their finance. Rogan disclosed one such instance, after hesitating to share more stories.
“I could tell you horror stories. But I won’t because some of them are too personal to, you know, my friends’ stories. But one, one of them is just so f***ing insane, he- I mean, I can’t even get into it. But it ruined his life. It took 15 years to resolve, it completely destroyed his life. Completely destroyed him financially.”

But how has Rogan managed to stay in a happy marriage for so long?
What is Joe Rogan’s secret to a long and happy marriage?
In a previous episode of his podcast, Rogan in conversation with Krystal Ball, talked about a brand that apparently lured women into buying their leggings. After claiming that those leggings were ‘ugly’, Ball revealed that many midwestern housewives seemed to love them. Rogan, however, did not side with Ball.

When asked if he would let his wife buy those leggings, the comedian dropped in a tip for the guys. “I don’t have any say on what she buys. That’s how we work.” Furthermore, he also added that he was ” a non-criticizer” of his “wife’s behavior.”
So as per Joe Rogan, if people wish to ensure their marriage succeeds, with love and happiness all around, one has to find the right partner, and not have any say on their significant other’s spending behavior. What are your thoughts about it? Tell us in the comments below!
