While giving his opinion, the UFC Hall of Famer pointed out a particle reason which lead to the ‘Borz’ behaving unprofessionally.

Khabib Nurmagomedov had some advice for Khamzat Chimaev

Criticizing the Swede, Nurmagomedov said, “If you are a Muslim, you should have good people around you. Muslims who can say ‘Hey, don’t do this.’ I recently watched the weigh-in of Khamzat Chimaev. I followed what was happening with his weight and looked at his team. There are no Muslims around him and this is very bad. Because if you are a Muslim, you need good, strong people around you that will say ‘Come back, do this.”

The Eagle further added, “When you become famous and rich, when you gain power and there are no people who will give advice or you do not listen to them, then something will happen,” Khabib concluded. “You need good people, even if you don’t like it, you need them.”

‘The Eagle’ received massive support from the fans for his statement; however, there were some who criticized him for suggesting Chimaev surround himself with yes men.

UFC welterweight, Philip Rowe backed up Nurmagomedov’s statement and answered the critiques.

Rowe took to his Social media to write, “Many are missing @TeamKhabib point when he says Khamzat should hang around more Muslims. He’s talking about Khamzats actions, cursing, flicking people off, and zero accountability. He’s advising him when you are famous and have faithful Muslims around you for sound advice. Not yes men!”

From being beloved to hated

Khamzat Chimaev became an instant villain after fans noticed his behavior during his official weigh-in for UFC 279. The Chechen came in 7.5 pounds overweight, thus the main event between him and Nate Diaz was canceled.

Khamzat seemed rather unapologetic for missing weight, moreover, he wasn’t even gracious to accept the boos from the crowd. Rather, he answered them back by ‘Flipping the bird’ towards them.

The only positive outcome for the Wolf was that he displayed a dominant performance against Kevin Holland, who was a last-minute replacement. The Chechen submitted ‘big mouth’ in the first round without absorbing even a single strike.
