The most anticipated return in UFC today is Conor McGregor’s comeback inside the Octagon. Since his last fight, every interview that someone related to him does is asked the same question… When will ‘The Notorious’ return inside the cage?
Tim Simpson, who happens to be McGregor’s manager, spoke to MMA junkie about the Irishman’s return. In the interview, Simpson was asked whether the movie that McGregor is shooting for will affect his original timeline to make a comeback.

The manager replied, “No, it fits in perfectly. We’re still on track for a big return next year. But, yeah this fits in perfectly in the meantime.”
The interviewer further enquired, “Do you know what kind of the status of his injury is? Like, is he training a 100% now where it’s kind of the health vise as far as the returnability?”
The manager responded, “Yeah yeah, the leg is still healing. I think there’s a little more to go on that but he’s been training like a mad man twice a day, every day. He has his full team out there. The McGregor fast team, you know all these health and fitness guys, physios, boxing coaching. Yep, he’s been going hard super hard.”

Simpson further added, “He’s in amazing shape. Just get that final adjustment to where the leg back to where it needs to be.”
“You think we’re going to see him return as a Welterweight, I know he’s kind of mentioned that. Is that the plan?” Was the follow-up question.

Simpson answered, “Could be either, could be either, you know. We’ll access what’s the opportunity at the time and you know he’s showing that he can make the weight anywhere. 55, 70. Wherever he wants to go I think he’ll access the opportunity and go from there.”
Who does Conor McGregor Face Next?
McGregor’s last fight was against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. In the bout ‘The Mystic Mac’ severely injured his leg at the end of the very first round. It was evident from that very moment that the former UFC champ will be out for a while.
