In his most recent escapade, Atlas took to his Instagram handle to upload a picture alongside Tom Aspinall and captioned it as, “A true Heavyweight, natural Boxer, class act & possibly next up to take on The G. O. A. T.”  Receiving such high praise from a legendary coach is, in itself, a significant achievement, and Aspinall has certainly accomplished enough in his career to be worthy of that recognition as well.

Dana White and Hunter Campbell eager to give Tom Aspinall a chance against Jon Jones

At the pre-fight press conference, the UFC CEO Dana White emphasized that if Jon Jones decided to continue his career after UFC 309 then he would have to face Tom Aspinall before any other fighter and it appears that the UFC CEO is certain about it this time. How? Well, in a viral video, we could see Tom Aspinall, Dana White, and Hunter Campbell having a casual conversation with each other. After a while, Aspinall dropped a major announcement, “Just finished off. It’s now 3:43 a.m. Just had a meeting with Dana, the other UFC brass, Hunter, and all. Success! See you next time. Big news coming,” said Aspinall.

What’s your perspective on:

Have an interesting take?

Does this͏ mean th͏at ͏Jon͏ J͏on͏es w͏ill͏ hav͏e to defend his ti͏tle against͏ ͏Aspinall next? Th͏e ͏p͏r͏obable ͏answer to͏ this question is ͏a ͏big ye͏s. In addition to their upcoming meeting,͏ ͏the Bri͏t even ͏conf͏e͏ssed that after Jon͏e͏s’ vict͏͏͏ory, he ͏͏looked͏ i͏n the ͏dir͏e͏cti͏on o͏f UFC CEO͏ D͏ana Whi͏te and Hunt͏er C͏a͏mpb͏e͏ll,͏͏ bo͏th of͏ w͏hom ͏winked ͏a͏t him, “When Jones was doing his [post-fight] speech, I was looking directly at the UFC brass, Dana [White] and Hunter [Campbell], and both of them turned to me at the same time and pointed at me and winked. At the same time. To me, that says [there is] something big in the pipeline. As I said a moment ago, it’s the biggest fight.”

Well, Jon Jones has emphasized that he would be taking the fight considering the fact that his pay is a huge one and the promotion might have to agree with his terms. Regardless, what’s your take on the hubbub? State your thoughts in the comments below.
