The 30-year-old serving his second stint in the UFC disclosed that a fight with the former contender and veteran Tony Ferguson is in the works. Although there is no official confirmation on the news, various MMA outlets have confirmed the rumors, making it a strong possibility that the bout could take place.

Lee, while sharing the news on his Instagram story, revealed his desire to exact revenge on ‘El Cucuy’ after getting submitted by him back in 2017. But despite being an exciting matchup, fans are quite well aware of Ferguson‘s declining capacities as a top-level fighter. Currently running on a five-fight losing streak, the MMA community had mixed emotions regarding the matchup. Despite this, it provides a good opportunity for both fighters to make a big statement with a win.

Sharing the news on his Instagram story, ‘The Motown Phenom’ wrote it was “time to correct history” referencing his previous fight with Ferguson. Also confirming this news were multiple MMA outlets on social media. One such page shared the news, which drew multiple reactions from fans under the comments.

While many wondered what the outcome could be, the overall sentiment amongst fans was that it could go either way since Ferguson already has a win over Lee. Despite this, many also believed the veteran would end up adding one more loss to his record.

And although it’s been more than five years since that happened; the 39-year-old could draw confidence from that performance and pull off a shocking win and ride off in the sunset.
