In the interview, Oliveira took the time to speak with the media, addressing various concerns and speculations. As the discussion moved on, one reporter asked the Brazilian for his take on the overwhelming interest in this fight. The reporter further added that many view it as the unofficial main event of the card, saying,

“What does that mean to you – to have so many people you know, consider this maybe the ‘uncrowned’ main event of this card?”

Oliveira set an example of humility in response to the reporter’s question. He retorted back, explaining how he believed that the “voice of the people” represented “the voice of God.” Further, he went on to express his gratitude for all the love and support that fans showered on him, stating,

It’s just that – the word that comes to mind is gratitude. Gratitude for everyone – you know talking about my name. I’m hearing so many things and getting so many messages…”

Voicing his confidence ahead of the clash, Oliveira seemed to be looking forward to the fight – in hopes of ‘making history’ with a win despite the odds. He continued, “But – let’s say – very happy and very thankful for everyone, and we’re gonna come out there and make history once again.”
