The name Conor McGregor has become almost synonymous with the UFC and MMA. Even the uninitiated have some idea of who the ‘Notorious’ Irishman is. Conor McGregor struck a bout of bad luck back in 2021 when he fought Dustin Poirier. The lightweight bout in July saw Conor’s leg give way during the fight, leading to a TKO victory for Poirier. The fight at UFC 264 marked the second time Conor faced Poirier. During their previous encounter at UFC 257, it was still Poirier who came out on top. Following the injury, the ‘Notorious’ took a long break from the sport. It has been two years now and there seems to be another hurdle that Conor must clear before making it back into the ring.

Conor is allegedly returning to the Octagon in December. But the USADA pool controversy stands in his way. The return bout is scheduled against Michael Chandler, as part of the final event of the TUF 31 TV show where McGregor and Chandler were coaching opposite teams. After many intriguing posts on X, the Irishman recently posted a video where he was seen using a face filter that superimposed Benjamin Franklin from a dollar bill onto his face. The video has entertained and confused countless fans who took to X to share their thoughts.
