UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman made an appearance on the ‘Full Send’ podcast and talked about his future in the UFC. ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ has become a massive name in the sport and he’s racking up wins in impressive fashion. He’s already defended his belt three times this year and wants to return soon to maximize his prime years.

Apart from building his championship legacy, Kamaru Usman is looking to secure some big-money fights in the sport. He has gone so far as to call out boxing P4P great Canelo Alvarez in a boxing match. While that scrap is unlikely, another call-out made by Usman has caught on with the public- Conor McGregor.

Kamaru Usman berates Conor McGregor

Usman and McGregor have gone back and forth on social media several times and have teased a potential fight. Recently, Usman verbally attacked McGregor by bringing up his past transgressions that still haunt his image. Usman mentioned McGregor’s scuffle with Machine Gun Kelly on the red carpet, as well as other unsavory instances.

“Conor is just uh, he’s a rich little weirdo right now, and that’s exactly what he is. Like come on bro, you’re punching DJ’s like DJ’s aren’t even scared of you outside right now. You know that’s the level you are on. You feel so high.”

“Even old dudes at the bar aren’t even scared of you anymore. Machine Gun Kelly is not even scared of you. You know that’s the level Conor is on.”

Several fighters on the UFC roster revert to bringing up the skeletons in McGregor’s closet, such as the incident involving punching the old man. While McGregor has addressed most of his controversies, they still loom over him like a black cloud. It remains to be seen if his future remains spotless and free of controversies going forward.
