Jorge Masvidal is one of the hottest properties in the welterweight division. While ‘Gamebred’ is coming off a three-loss streak, his stocks remain high. Significantly, the recent verbal exchange involving Gilbert Burns might prove the catalyst for the American fighter’s Octagon return. However, amid these recent call-outs, Michael Bisping has warned the Miami fighter of the potential tough matchup.

The Brit took to his famous YouTube channel and broke the potential welterweight fight.
Bisping on the potential Jorge Masvidal-Burns fight
The former UFC fighter started the conversation by specifying that Masvidal was a real fighter who didn’t take anything lightly. While referring to the recent Masvidal video directed toward ‘Durinho’, Bisping stated that the BMF title holder was no b*tch.
Further, ‘The Count’ informed the fans that the 38-year-old has a lot of options. Also, Bisping stated that Masvidal was back to doing what he did best after helping with the mid-terms, i.e., fighting.
Following this, the UFC Hall of Famer predicated that the Rio-born fight was a dangerous matchup for anyone, not just Masvidal.
“Gilbert is as dangerous as they come. Look what he did to Kamaru [Usman]. Look what he did to Khamzat Chimaev. Gave both of them some of their hardest fights, you know. Really, Gilbert is the real deal, but it sounds like he’s up for it,” Bisping later on added.
Notably, ‘Durinho’ and Khamzat Chimaev faced each other in a back-and-forth fight at UFC 273. The #5 welterweight fighter dropped the Chechen star twice in the fight.

Lastly, the MMA fighter-turned-podcast host argued that Masvidal was better off fighting Burns. Further, if he could defeat the submission grappler, Masvidal deserved a big fight, and that’s where Leon Edwards would fit in.
