Paul appeared on the ‘True Geordie’ podcast, in which he discussed a bunch of topics. In one segment, Paul explained the path he needed to take in order to fight McGregor. This path involved fighting against McGregor’s training partner, Dillon Danis.
The host threw names of different YouTubers at Paul and asked him whether he had considered fighting any one of them. Paul shut him down by replying, “There’s levels to this s**t.”
He added, “Number one, you have to be able to sell a fight. Then, number two, I don’t think that those fights would be on par.” Here he means that the fights wouldn’t be on par with the Danis fight.

Paul continued, “I don’t believe that people would think that could be a good fight. This could also set me up for a potential Conor fight, should that ever happen. Jake’s also trying to fight Conor. Either myself or Jake will fight Conor McGregor, eventually.”
He concluded by saying, “With Conor, you’re not taking a crazy f**king risk. Maybe you are. Because if Conor McGregor loses to Jake or I, that’s tough, that’s a legacy destroyer.”

McGregor suffered this injury with only a few seconds left in the first round. Due to this, he wasn’t able to continue and lost the bout via doctor’s stoppage.
In his time away from the octagon, McGregor has already undergone surgery and has spent most of his time in the gym. He has bulked up and will be looking to move up a division for his next fight.
