America is experiencing a major epidemic, but there is little concern being shown about it. However, Joe Rogan and Jiri Prochazka took the initiative to let the citizens know about the repercussions of ignoring this major disease. But what is this deadly epidemic, you ask? Well, it’s obesity. While it may appear harmless to many people, a recent study on obesity in the United States has cautioned its citizens that if current trends and patterns continue, the country will have 256.1 million people with this health concern by 2050. In fact, right now, over 40% of American adults are obese.

Making sure that the people were aware of it, Joe Rogan spoke to Jiri Prochazka on the JRE MMA show and revealed how the current developments in technology only made people more comfortable and equally lazy. “The people that live this way are living disastrous lives, and people will learn from that mistake because this level of comfort that most people have is very new historically. It’s very new in human history. There’s never really been a time where the poor people were fat. This is a weird time. The poorest amongst us have no worries about starving to death—they’re in America; they’re fat.”

Joe Rogan further added that obesity is more common than one thinks. With over 40% of people being obese, it’s too easy for humans to exist now. While the JRE host accepts that everyone has to work and it is possible that one hates his/her work, physically one has to do something to test their will and discipline. Otherwise, you won’t be able to control yourself in situations that require you to stay calm. Even Jiri Prochazka agrees with the notion.

The UFC light heavyweight added that it is the responsibility of the elders to make sure their children do not get too involved in the ‘fake life’ and become more active in life. Jiri Prochazka said on the podcast, “I think right now, it’s up to—like it was in every culture—up to the older people to teach the younger, like, to real life, to tell them, like, simply tell them the stories. Listen to the stories. Live the true life, man. Because we are forgetting all these things because we have the phones, and this is the fake life.”

Even Joe Rogan agreed that being busy in the virtual world is nothing more than living a fake life, and it’s bad for you. It’s bad for your development and hinders your potential. So, it definitely looks like the JRE host is adamant about making sure that the citizens are aware of the epidemic and fight against it. In fact, he too took a fight of his own against body positivity advocates to spread the message.

When Joe Rogan trashed body positivity advocates on his podcast

Joe Rogan is well known for his obsession with fitness. Despite being 57 years old, the JRE host is shredded and continues to inspire millions around the world. While he is aware of the pressure society places on everyone to have a particular shape of body, he believes that the issue is definitely worse for men. On JRE episode #2029 with Bill Maher, the UFC commentator discussed the dangers of being overweight.

Joe Rogan calls out body positivity—Is it empowering or just an excuse for unhealthy living?

Have an interesting take?

Aware of the fact that it is an epidemic that is costing people their lives, he remarked on the body positivity movement and the fact that some people think obesity is “beautiful” or “sexy.”. However, taking jibes at these advocates, he revealed how the movement is very different when it comes to men. First, he revealed how being fat is simply not being healthy, “But fat is fat, and it’s not healthy. Even if you find it beautiful or sexy or whatever you want it. It’s just science. It’s bad for literally every part of your health. From how you p-op to your eyesight. There’s nothing that obesity doesn’t affect negatively.”

However, he dove deep into the body positivity movement by claiming that the rules are different for males and females. While females being obese are still considered beautiful, if it is a male, then it is considered unattractive. Joe Rogan said, “You know who doesn’t get any of that body positivity sh-t, though? Men. Nobody gives a f-ck about men. If a man is fat, you’re just fat.” Well, it looks like the UFC commentator is definitely against the movement and wants his fans to take their health more seriously.
