About four months ago, Joe Rogan opened up a comedy club by the name of ‘The Comedy Mothership’, in Austin, Texas. Without a doubt, the club witnessed immense success as the tickets got sold out within moments and the club was declared houseful on every single night. The anti-woke club became a hot topic of discussion amongst the comedians since it also gave a chance to aspiring comics.

However, the fact that people had to line up in order to get a seat in the club was still in the headlines. In the recent talk with Tony Woods, a veteran stand-up comic, Rogan discussed the wildness of the club. But nothing could stop Woods from making a snide remark, as he connected the epic saga of Star Wars with the Mothership.

During the conversation on JRE #2011, Woods commended the podcaster on the huge success of his comedy club. Then the famed UFC color commentator declared, “We’ve been open for four months now. It’s been wild.”

But it was the ginormous line the audience had to go through that was on Woods’ mind. The guest said, “And it’s like, I see it’s a line all the time. Other comedians sent me pictures of people lined up like they go an see Star Wars the first time.” Getting the club compared with Star Wars was indeed a proud moment for Rogan.

Thereafter, the podcaster revealed that the rarity of the tickets to the anti-woke club was what kept the fans excited. He said, “It’s hard to get tickets so people get amped up about it. It’s, it’s really nice.” One can seldom miss the pride in the JRE host’s tone when he talked about his comedy club.

Rogan previously appeared on the ‘Oil and Whisky’ podcast and talked about the anti-woke club. He declared that he had had two specific missions regarding the club. One was to open a comedy club and the second was to make the greatest comedians cross the threshold of Austin.

But that wasn’t the end of it. Rogan made sure that the town became a hub for comedy. With great food, music, and ambiance, he claimed that Austin was simply “a great place to live and for comedians.”
