“Legend” – Khabib Nurmagomedov’s Revenge Against Teammate, Who Almost Forced Father Abdulmanap Into Retirement, Has UFC Fans Bowing Down in Respect After Resurfaced Video Goes Viral

Khabib Nurmagomedov is one of the true legends and dominating fighters in the sport. ‘The Eagle’ was a practitioner of the sport since a very young age and fans are aware of his ‘tussles’ with a bear. Many would argue that Nurmagomedov was one of the best wrestlers to grace the UFC octagon. Moreover, the skills he acquired from combat sambo earned him his reputation as one of the GOATS before retirement. Also, ‘The Eagle’ has also risen to the top of the sport largely due to his late father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov.

The UFC legend’s video wherein he has tossed his opponent while finishing him with an armbar has gone viral recently. The opponent also happens to be a teammate who almost forced Nurmagomedov’s father into retirement.

Fans react to insane flying armbar from Khabib Nurmagomedov

An old video of Khabib Nurmagomedov in a wrestling bout has emerged and has sent fans crazy. SK MMA on their Instagram account shared the old clip of ‘The Eagle’ performing a flying armbar on Islam Mamedov in a wrestling fight. Mamedov and Nurmagomedov were training partners in their careers.

However, Mamedov left the camp, which almost prompted Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov to retire. The video is reported to be taken a year after the incident where ‘The Eagle’ defeated Mamedov.

The post was captioned, “He did it in his beginning @khabib_nurmagomedov”. The fans couldn’t hold back their thoughts on seeing the old video of Nurmagomedov.

However, a fan was critical in their comment and said, “He’s a professional wrestler not a professional fighter”.

Nurmagomedov and Mamedov supported each other in their careers. Nurmagomedov cornered Mamedov in his professional MMA fights despite their reported differences in the past.

The UFC legend was seen cornering Mamedov in his loss to Benson Henderson at Bellator 273. However, Mamedov lost the bout via a split decision despite escaping the submission attempt.
