Michael Chandler has more options other than Conor McGregor

Conor McGre͏gor’s comeback hyped up the MMA community. ͏’Mystic Mac’ was fi͏nally re͏tur͏ning to the Octagon aft͏e͏r a three-͏year hiatus, but a toe injury de͏railed his pl͏ans. In a͏͏d͏d͏ition to McGregor that, it is because of the Irishman that Chan͏dler has been losing his time.͏

At the UFC presser, ‘Iron’ even stated that there are talks going on with the promotion to reschedule the fight. “Talks are happening between me and the UFC.” However, is there any other match in the making for Chandler if McGregor doesn’t show up again? According to ‘Iron’, he has many options other than McGregor. “I mean, we’ve always been focused on Conor. There, obviously, the UFC has a duty to look at other options,” said Chandler.

He further added, “There are some great options out there, a lot of options that you guys have all heard. And I love fighting. I love fighting big names, big fights, big venues, big opportunities. And I’ve got a lot of options, but we’re still focused on Conor.”

McGregor’s withdrawal from his fight was a massive jolt to Chandler’s career. Regardless, the better course of action for Chandler for now would be to fight a different opponent till McGregor comes back. Interestingly, even Dana White is of the opinion that the American should move on from McGregor.

Dana White wants Chandler to make better decisions

Michael Chandler’s career seems to be stagnant right now. Why, you ask? Because of the fact that he is hellbent on fighting Conor McGregor and no one else. Even after the UFC 303 fiasco, Chandler is waiting for McGregor, who seems to be coming back around the later parts of the year if he wants to fight. The UFC supremo Dana White has advised against such a disaster.

While having a conversation with the media at the UFC 303 press conference, White said, “I will never recommend waiting. Time is not your friend in this business. You know Michael’s been around for a long time. He’s accomplished a lot of things. He’s at a point in his career where that’s what he wants to do. He’s not a dumb kid. He’s a smart kid. So whatever he wants to do.”
