Joe Rogan has ensured that he keeps his fanbase entertained on Christmas with a brand new episode of the Joe Rogan Experience. With over 2200 episodes and more than 1000 guests featured, the JRE has become a podium for the guests to put forth their beliefs. But there are times when JRE felt like a broken record with the same guests getting featured time in and time out. And that was the case with Rogan’s Christmas present for his fans.

Rogan took to Instagram and announced the release of the #2247 episode of the JRE. The episode featured Duncan Trussell for the 111th time. He shared a still visual of the JRE guest wearing the colors of a Christmas elf and wrote, “Merry Christmas from the great and powerful @duncantrussell and me! Available now on @spotify and everywhere else!” 

Duncan Trussell is a celebrated stand-up comic and the host of the show, ‘Duncan Trussel Family Hour’. He’s also the voice behind ‘Hippocampus’ in the TV series ‘Krapopolis’. He also co-created the highly hyped Netflix series ‘The Midnight Gospel’ in 2020. And his relationship with Rogan goes beyond the JRE studio. After all, the longest recorded JRE episode also featured Trussell. It was episode #1530 which went beyond 5 hours! Psst… Trussell starred in ‘Joe Rogan Questions Everything’, as well. 

It didn’t take the JRE fans long to tumble into the comments section. We can say that things didn’t go as per the 57-year-old podcaster’s plan. Well, for some Trussell was an interesting guy, but many others liked to think otherwise. Let’s take a look at what the fanbase had to convey.

Some of the JRE fans stood against Trussell, claiming that the podcaster and stand-up comic couldn’t entertain them to the extent that they would have liked. One fan wrote, “He is by far my least favorite guest..” Meanwhile, another fan narrated an instance where he was left absolutely disappointed while attending one of Trussell’s gigs in Arizona. The comment read, “Saw this guy doing his stand up bit in Arizona and prob the worst comedy show I’ve been to. Just sayin. Carry on.”

On top of that, the netizens seemed to be getting bored with having to listen to the same guests over and over again. This made them wonder if the beloved JRE host was running out of guests on his list. One fan reflected on this and wrote, “Running out of guests I see.” While another fan pointed out that the JRE has been failing to secure a worthy guest for a long time. The comment went like, “Damn you haven’t had a guest worth listening to in months.”

However, many others were excited to listen to Trussell and Rogan go on and off about stuff while dressing up in green, white, and red. One fan commented, “That guy rules. Always enjoy when you both get together and just chop it up and tell each other about cool and interesting shit.” Another fan revealed how fun it was to listen to the duo, stating, “My favorite is always Joe and Duncan. They are so fun to listen to. Also, great outfits!” And for some others, this was the perfect Christmas present. One fan wrote, “Let’s f–king gooooo this is the best Christmas present I got this year!” One more comment read, “Yeah! I love it, when you get together for the holiday season.”
