To ignite even more excitement in the hearts of the fans, the franchise has just released a teaser for the game, which includes elements of mystery. One such mysterious moment in the teaser seems to be the inclusion of Alexander Volkanovski on the cover. Fans couldn’t contain their excitement and took to social media to express their views.

Fans speculate: Is Alexander Volkanovski UFC 5’s cover star?

In the wake of the debut of the UFC 5 teaser during the Gamescom 2023 event, speculation was rife. Keen-eyed observers speculated that the elusive combatant shown in the footage might well be none other than Alexander Volkanovski, the reigning champion of the UFC Featherweight division.

After the release of the teaser, fans couldn’t maintain their composure and took to X to express their excitement and speculation about Volkanovski gracing the cover of the new game. The UFC 5 cover has excluded Israel Adesanya. Some of the reactions of the fans are :

One of the fans suggested that they lowkey knew it would be Alex or Islam.

Another fan expressed their approval of Volkanovski being the cover athlete, acknowledging his potential as one of the world’s best fighters.

Moreover, one of the fans jokingly conveyed that he would bet his money on the fact that the fighter on the cover is Volkanovski, as they have the same tattoos.

Furthermore, one of the fans predicted that Volkanovski would be the poster boy of UFc 5 but would be ultimately defeated by Ilia Topuria, and then Ilia Topuria would be the next poster boy.

Another fan stated that the tattoo on the right shoulder definitely indicates that he is Volkanovski.

Another fan also noticed the similarity of tattoos and indicated that the shoulder tattoo placement indicated that he is Volkanovski.

Last but not least, a fan speculated that the cover of UFC 5 would either be Islam Makhachev,  Alexander Volkanovski, or Charles Oliveira, and not Sean O’Malley or Jon Jones.

The fans seem highly excited as they are expecting to see their favorite fighters to be in the long-awaited game. Within a few weeks, gamers will have the chance to gain a more comprehensive insight into the highly-anticipated UFC 5 video game.
