Not everybody handles fame and the wealth that comes with it while maintaining consistency in their role. Take Conor McGregor, for example, who may have amassed a lot of wealth, but his career isn’t as consistent as it used to be, given his three-year layoff and his recent record. However, that doesn’t seem to be the case for Joe Rogan, who’s not only a consistent feature on UFC programming but is also making bank with his million-dollar JRE podcast.
His friend for over three decades, Bryan Callen, recently made a revelation about how ‘money and fame affected Joe Rogan‘, and it turned out to be in a positive way. He narrated a discussion with the JRE host following his $250 million deal with Spotify, claiming that Rogan now is just like Rogan thirty years ago, but only better and more in control of himself as an individual.
“Joe, when he signed his second Spotify deal, I spoke to him… I’ve known him 30 years exactly. I said, ‘You haven’t changed since I met you. If anything, you’ve calmed down. You have peace of mind,'” Bryan Callen stated on Tim Welch’s YouTube channel. “Money and fame literally didn’t change him. It didn’t change how hard he works out, it didn’t change how honest he is, didn’t change anything about him.”

Moreover, Bryan Callen claims Joe Rogan engages in a lot of self-evaluation, remembering his roots and preferring to stay humble and grateful. “He said, ‘Well, I know I’m not better than my audience. I know I am not smarter than my audience… And I do something really hard to remind myself of what a b*tch I am,” Callen added. Rogan may be worth millions now, but he never thought that his podcast would become the phenomenon that it is today.

Is Joe Rogan the ultimate example of fame not changing a person?

“I started just on a laptop answering questions like with a friend of mine, Brian whom I started with. We’re just f***ing around, we thought it’d be fun to just do for fun you know, I always wanted to do a radio show,” the 57-year-old revealed in an old episode of his podcast. But, as we know, the show went on to give us some very interesting and entertaining moments, and now his show averages millions of views per episode.
Joe Rogan continues to maintain his position in the podcasting world as the biggest one out there and in the UFC. He still shares the same level of interest and dedication to his craft. Perhaps that is why he’s never been consumed by money and fame. What do you think? Let us know in the comments down below.
