Joe Rogan, along with his guest for the episode, Andrew Santino, were in utter shock as they found that Shaquille O’Neal weighed about 330lbs. Both of them were startled at the same time, saying, “Shaq’s 330!”
The JRE host also spoke about the UFC weight limit, saying, “It’s kinda weird that the UFC has a weight limit.” Joe Rogan, who seemed very much in favor of the idea of pushing the weight limits of the UFC, added, “We’ve never had a Super-Heavyweight fight.”
Andrew Santino wanted to know, “Who’s the heaviest fighter who’s ever fought,” to which Joe Rogan replied, “265 when they weigh in, after that probably Brock.” The ex-Fear Factor host also described how a 300lbs Brock Lesnar had to cut weight to 265 lbs before a fight.
Joe Rogan provided his view on Shaquille O’Neal in MMA
There’s a certain height-weight ratio to a human body. Every MMA fan will know the intense amount of struggle which every fighter goes through during a weight cut. Fighters often look dehydrated and exhausted while they step on the weighing scale.
Hence, looking at the NBA legend’s size, Joe Rogan stated, “A guy like that could never fight in the UFC, coz he probably can’t make 265. If he made it, he would be SHREDDED.”
