His absence from the Octagon has raised many questions about his future in the promotion. Once considered the number one contender in the division, Chimaev might now struggle to get future matches feels Schaub. The former UFC fighter in his podcast said, “And Khamzat’s falling out. I don’t know what’s going to happen with him. I don’t know because the UFC is going to be like all right. He’s a liability now. “

Schaub further added, “What’s going on? He had the super long Covid thing he was talking about. But the UFC once you are unreliable, like you miss the weight. Which he’s done. So if you are missing weight and then you’re not showing up to fights eventually UFC goes all right. Na put him on the back. Agreeing to the claims, Bryan Callen also said, “This was the big test.” UFC CEO Dana White termed the entire situation as ‘violently’ ill’ for the Chechian fighter. It was later found out that the 30-year-old was suffering from food poisoning.

The post read as “All these fake rumours about @KChimaev pulling out due to food poisoning is absolutely bullshit. I was part of the camp & behind the scenes. Praying for his recovery & comeback.” Khan further in his post clarified that the team tried desperately hard to negate the situation.
