It all started when the American wrestler starred on a recent episode of Michael Bisping’s iconic YouTube podcast. While talking to the Hall-of-Famer, the 27-year-old spoke highly of his future aspirations. Moreover, he voiced his astute belief that he will get a title shot in three more fights. What’s more – Nickal is positive that he will lock horns with Khamzat Chimaev in the UFC middleweight division.

Bo Nickal vs. Khamzat Chimaev – A USA vs. Russia showdown?

Bo recently completed a year in the UFC, after his debut back in June 2022 against John Noland at iKON FC 3. With an unbeaten 5-0 UFC record, Nickal is a real threat to any Middleweight out there. But he thinks that he’s ready for the next leap.

While talking to Bisping, the decorated wrestler made some intriguing remarks about another UFC fighter whose wrestling skills have turned many heads – Khamzat Chimaev. Despite admitting that ‘Borz’ is a force to be reckoned with, Nickal mocked the Dagestani’s wrestling skills. In the same vein, Nickal added, “If we were to wrestle in a match, it’s a joke. Like, I’ll end in sub 60 seconds, I’ll kill that guy and [it’s] not even competitive but in an MMA fight, like I said – [a] different ball game…”

The 27-year-old rising star believes that a potential bout against the Dagestani fighter will be an epic clash of two forces in MMA – the USA versus Russia. Arguing the same, the Middleweight boldly declared,

“Me vs Khamzat – USA versus Russia. I think that there’s just no better story in MMA right now than that. we’re really like two forces just kind of heading toward each other destined to collide…”

Fans are in splits after Nickal calls out the Dagestani ‘Borz’

Fans were quick to respond to such a startling call out from the rising star. Many fans, critics, and lovers of the sport flocked in on social media with a whirlpool of reactions and opinions.
