Now, after more than a year away from the promotion, the undefeated Welterweight fighter is looking to make his return to the UFC Octagon this year. He is slated to face Paulo Costa at Abu Dhabi and the verbal feud between the two has already begun.

This video stands as testimony to the fact that Khamzat Chimaev has a massive and extremely loyal following in the UK (maybe having him on the London fight card could have saved Dana White the pocket pinch?).

One fan showed him, from a different part of the world, showed him love by commenting, “You are superstar in ufc right now brother. We love you. Big fan from malaysia❤❤“.

Mokaev Muhammad also commented with, “🔥🔥🔥“, on the video shared by Chimaev on his Instagram profile.

Fans on Twitter were going crazy. The comments section was riddled with nothing but compliments and love for Chimaev.

One fan welcome him to the UK while another gave him valuable ‘advice’ to become the champ.

One fan didn’t seem impressed by this and found it to be ’embarrassing’ instead.

Another fan seemed quite sure that Khamzat Chimaev would go on to become the champ.

Former UFC champ and commentator Daniel Cormier seems to think that if Chimaev can secure a victory over Paulo Costa, he might just earn himself a dance with the big boys over at Middleweight, right between Israel Adesanya and Dricus Du Plessis.
