Khamzat Chimaev’s Warning to “Clowns” Kamaru Usman & Leon Edwards Starts Heavy Debate: “He Literally Can and Has Made 170”

With the date for UFC 286 right around the corner, fans and professionals have revealed their excitement for the fights. The stage for the upcoming main event has been set for Kamaru Usman and Leon Edwards to square off against each other for the welterweight title. However, when the UFC announced the fight, Khamzat Chimaev apparently couldn’t take it in and issued a challenge for the victor.

The Ultimate Fighting Champion took to Twitter and teased Usman’s fight against Edwards. However, the Chechen Wolf replied that he would take the welterweight belt from the one who would rise victorious. As one might expect, Chimaev’s words found their way to Reddit. The MMA fans quickly took over the comments section and expressed themselves.

The UFC recently took the fans’ excitement to a higher level as the team teased about Usman squaring off against Edwards for the welterweight title. However, ‘Borz’ took to the comments and seemingly made a vow. He wrote, “Soon I’ll take my belt from this two clowns.” He even shared the tweets on his IG Story.

Soon enough, the Wolf’s words roamed the internet and got into Reddit. The fans were quick to take to the comments and express their thoughts. Without a doubt, the world had a difference of opinion. Although many fans undermined Chimaev for missing weight, many others apparently had faith in the Chechnyan fighter.

• he struggled with the burns fight had to try 3x before get to 171
• Congrats to Khamzat for being the first man to challenge for the 178 pound belt
• He needs to stop ducking Belal at WW and Costa at MW.
• I mean he missed weight once. He was making 170 multiple times in a short time frame before I think he’ll be fine

• I don’t think it’s definitive that he can’t make 170, we’ve seen other fighters not make weight and do it again.
• If Khamzat made the weight he would strangle Leon inside of 2. Him and Usman is the fight to see

Khamzat Chimaev’s next opponent

Undeniably, the world wished to see Chimaev land against Nate Diaz back during the events of UFC 279. However, things didn’t turn out the way fans expected, since the Swedish fighter was heavier than the welterweight limit. Thus, he fought Kevin Holland.

But, in an interview with ‘Red Corner MMA’, Chimaev declared his wish to fight Robert Whittaker. He said, “I think I will fight Robert Whittaker. He’s got no opponent.” Nevertheless, MMA fans believe that it is high time for the fighter to get back into the arena.
