Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev are all set to clash on 23rd June, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Without a doubt, the excitement in the fighting community is palpable. Meanwhile, the fight has also attracted reactions from professionals. And recently, Kamaru Usman and Henry Cejudo sat together to discuss the probable outcome of the fight.

In their talk show, Cejudo claimed that Whittaker would be the one to defeat Chimaev in a five-round bout. “I think that Robert Whittaker gets it done, dude,” he said. Furthermore, ‘Triple C’ seemed to believe that the Chechen Wolf gets easily tired. He pointed at Chimaev’s fight against Usman to set an example.

However, ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’ opined that the real art was in making one’s opponent tired. Thereafter, Cejudo stated that Whittaker was the one who would bring the fight to Chimaev. But Cejudo had just started with his praise. He continued, “The dude strikes, the dude goes south righty, he can defend, and he’s got takedowns of his own, too. Like, I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes down a guy like Khamzat Chimaev.”

Fans rally behind Khamzat Chimaev in his upcoming fight

Even though the former UFC flyweight champion picked Whittaker as the probable winner, the fight fans had a different opinion. They claimed that it would be ‘Borz’ who would emerge victorious in the Fight Night. “Hahaha little Henry shut up khamzat will destroy robb,” read one comment. Another comment read, “Khamzat submits rob in the first round or Rob wins by decision. Its that simple.” One of the fans hilariously wrote, “Khamzat gonna rob him.” Meanwhile, another fan wrote, “This is Khamzat’s moment. He’s not losing until after he wins a belt. Rob had his moment.”

Furthermore, one fan claimed that although Whittaker was one of the best fighters, the Chechnyan fighter was simply out of this world. “He’s one of the best, but Chimaev seems out of this world.” Another fan believed that Chimaev had a more aggressive fighting style which was somehow related to the Dagestani fighters. The comment went, “Khamzat is much more aggressive with his style. He brings it! Something all the Dagestan boys have in common.”

Thereafter, one fan pointed out that Chimaev didn’t get tired in his fight against Gilbert Burns, which also went on for five rounds. “No one’s talking about Khamzat suffering an injury in Round 1 that led him to slow down. Khamzat fought Gilbert for 5 rounds and he never got tired,” the fan wrote. Moreover, one of the fans pointed out that the Swedish mixed martial artist wasn’t tired in his fight against Usman, but he was slower due to an injury. The fan wrote, “Khamzat did not get tired against Kamaru 🤣 he got injured. Very obvious when you look at round 2 vs round 1.”

While the entire world of mixed martial arts seemed to be in Chimaev’s support, many others sided with Cejudo and chose ‘The Reaper’ as the winner. But what do you think? Will Chimaev claim the victory, or would it be Whittaker? Let us know in the comments down below.
