Undefeated Khamzat Chimaev is finally going to fight after a year away from the Octagon. As Dana White announced earlier, he will take on Paulo Costa in his return to the middleweight division at UFC 294. Meanwhile, ‘Borz’s preparation for the fight saw him taking a therapy that Joe Rogan had always advised people to undergo in their day-to-day lives.

Khamzat Chimaev is leaving no stone unturned for his upcoming fight against Paulo Costa. Given that he had missed weight in his last fight, he looks to be attempting to get things right this time around. Ahead of his fight in Abu Dhabi, Khamzat Chimaev recently released a video on his YouTube channel, showing his preparation for UFC 294. The video started off with the Emirati fighter taking a cold plunge or an ice bath. Meanwhile, the video transitioned to Chimaev being engaged in a praying session. Joe Rogan would have certainly loved to see the undefeated fighter making use of the ice bath therapy.

Furthermore, Chimaev was joined by another one of his training partners, who joined him in taking the cold plunge. The video cut to a scene where it showed that ‘Borz’ had been inside the ice-filled tub for about 4 minutes. However, the video did not mention exactly how much time he spent inside the tub. When it comes to Joe Rogan, he not only advised people to take an ice bath but also mentioned how it helps the body. Let’s see what he had to say.

Joe Rogan on the benefits of taking ice baths

In a video he posted on Instagram, the UFC color commentator claimed to have found a lot of benefits in getting into an ice bath. He claimed that getting into a tub with some ice at 34 degrees Fahrenheit made him feel great. Similarly, it also had a positive effect on his mental well-being.

Rogan claims that initially, he found it difficult to dive into a tub filled with ice. But gradually, he got a hold of it and helped him learn a lot about his resilience and the way his body works. Furthermore, the 56-year-old also got rid of the soreness in his body, which starts to build up as people get older.
