UFC Welterweight fighter Khamzat Chimaev is on a roll with 12 wins and no losses. He has the potential to be counted as one of the best to ever do it. He has been dominating his division and is a real threat to all fighters. However, he is quite lively and quirky – both inside and outside the ring.
The Welterweight fighter has been seen saying ‘smash everybody’ on multiple occasions. While most people felt it displayed his confidence, Chimaev recently unveiled the truth in an interview that was posted on Instagram by ‘mesgma’.
Why does Khamzat Chimaev want to smash everybody?

Apart from the fact that Chimaev has an appetite for destruction and refuses to stop till he is at the top, there is another reason why he keeps saying ‘smash everybody’. In the interview that was uploaded on Instagram, Chimaev finally reveals why he resorts to that phrase, now and then.

“When I don’t understand somebody – when they [reporters] give me some questions, I say “smash everybody”. This is a good answer for everything, you know,” said the Middleweight fighter as the interviewer and he break into a fit of laughter.
A follow-up video of an excited Khamzat Chimaev being interviewed by Joe Rogan resurfaced. It gave us a clear example of Chimaev’s secret. “What are your thoughts about this fight moving from the Diaz fight [Nate] to now you fighting Kevin Holland, because of the weigh-loss?” asked Rogan. “I don’t care. I wanna smash everybody. … No. I [inaduible] taking over now,” said the fighter with enthusiasm. However, there is yet another fighter at the receiving end of Borz’s iconic reply.
Chimaev wants to ‘smash’ Kamaru Usman at UFC 294

The fighter has been lobbying for a fight against ‘The Nigerian Nightmare’. Both stars have gone back and forth on social media. As per several reports, Chimaev versus Usman could potentially take place at UFC 294. No official announcement has been made yet.
“I’m gonna fight this guy, Abu Dhabi, smash his face, finish him, then they have to give me that title shot,” said Chimaev.

It would be interesting to see what Dana White has to say about this. The UFC head honcho wasn’t particularly elated by the matchup, as he doesn’t believe in catchweight fights. Do you think this fight could take place at middleweight?
