Israel Adesanya might just make a comeback soon but is he ready for his next potential opponent? Adesanya went on a break after being defeated by Sean Strickland at UFC 293 and is yet to announce his date of return. However, by the looks of it, he looks rather ready to break new ground.
Meanwhile, Khamzat Chimaev is just calling people out left, right, and center. ‘Borz’ moved to middleweight and is yet to get a big fight for himself. There’s not been an announcement for his fight yet but he’s ready for UFC 300 and it shows. Will Adesanya fight him soon?

Israel Adesanya comes from a background of boxing and kickboxing. His striking has been creative and rather efficient for his all his title defenses until the ‘Tarzan’ loss. However, his ground-game is something that wasn’t his biggest highlight.
If he ever wants to fight Khamzat Chimaev, he will need to ace defending takedowns like never before. Chimaev has made himself infamous for shooting takedown attempts and rag dolling fighters across the cage. So when a video of ‘Izzy’ working on wrestling surfaced, ‘Borz’ couldn’t help but be entertained.
The video features Adesanya working with a couple of his teammates. The other fighters go for takedown attempt and ‘The Stylebender’ defends them with rather serious efficiency. However, the video was not efficient enough for Chimaev who commented with some laughing emojis in usual Chimaev manner.

Does this mean the two will be fighting at UFC 300? There’s no real way to know. Adesanya is yet to announce his return and Dana White too has been keeping it quiet around the pay-per-view’s main event. Will it all end up with White covered in oil?

What started as a joke took an even funnier turn when Nina Marie-Daniele joined in on it. Dana White once joked that if he doesn’t announce the UFC 300 main event that very week, fans could go and cover him in oil. Now, with White building on the suspense every day, fans are rallying together to go and actually do it.

Marie-Daniele, better known as ‘Nina-Drama’, recently sent down yet another warning to White as she posted on her X handle, “Dana White you have until tomorrow to announce UFC 300 Main Event or I’m showing up to the office with the oil LOL. A deal is a deal! @ufc@danawhite”.

Clearly, the warnings have not fazed the UFC head honcho who remains ever so quiet about it all. Will he ever announce the main event? Will it feature Israel Adesanya? Only White knows the answer to that!
