Khamzat Chimaev is all set to return to action in the upcoming UFC 308 PPV event against Robert Whittaker. The pair was scheduled to take on each other at the UFC Fight Night in Saudi Arabia in June. However, ‘Borz’ had to pull out at the last moment after he became ‘violently ill’ as exclaimed by UFC CEO Dana White. But the good news is that the highly -talented middleweight fighter is seemingly back to full fitness, as revealed by a post on social media.
Red Corner MMA took to their Instagram account to share a video of Chimaev doing incredible things inside the gym, which should ideally be good news for the fans. The caption read, “Borz entering beast mode! Did you know Khamzat was so athletic?”. In recent times, Khamzat Chimaev has pulled out of multiple fights mainly because of health reasons. As a result, he has become the target of irate fans, who have now labeled him “King of Withdrawals” after failing to turn up for important fights.
Luckily, Chimaev has learned from his mistakes in the past and has changed his training schedule completely. Earlier in his fight camps, ‘Borz’ ended up over-training, which hampered his recovery process. As a result, his immune system broke down, making it tough for him to turn up for the fights. He has now returned to his old coach with whom he trained wrestling in his earlier days and said, “The point is they now let me rest and recover properly. I used to go to the gym and just train until I was done.”
