Khamzat Chimaev is returning to action this weekend at UFC 294. He will be fighting Kamaru Usman, who will be making his middleweight debut. As he returns to 185 pounds, Chimaev has expressed his interest in fighting any and all middleweight contenders in hopes of millions in paychecks.

‘Borz’ has not fought in over a year. As such, many fans are excited to see him back inside the Octagon. Furthermore, Khamzat Chimaev recently became a UAE citizen. This means he will have home-field advantage in Abu Dhabi against former champion Kamaru Usman. However, he has much more in his mind.

Nina Marie Daniele, who has a YouTube channel named ‘Nina Drama’, caught up with Khamzat Chimaev before his fight against Kamaru Usman this Saturday. She brought up some names from the middleweight division, including Sean Strickland, Israel Adesanya, Bo Nickal, and more.

Daniele asked Chimaev whether he’d like to fight them in the future. And apparently, the Emirati fighter has no problems fighting any one of those fighters, claiming that he’ll “smash” them.

However, the most lucrative thing about fighting all the fighters that were mentioned was the amount of money he could earn from those fights. Khamzat Chimaev said, “[There’s] so much money. Imagine I fight all of these guys. Crazy!” He calculated a total of seven fighters, which he believes could earn him more than $20 million. “Seven fights… It’s almost $20 million. 20 more than $20 million. It’s good,” said Chimaev. Regardless of that, ‘Borz’ might still get a chance to fight for the title if he wins at UFC 294.

‘Borz’ could fight Sean Strickland next

Israel Adesanya has decided to take a break from fighting for now. As such, his rematch against Sean Strickland is likely not going to happen. This is where MMA journalist Kevin Lole reported that Dana White told him about the next title contender. The winner of the fight between Khamzat Chimaev and Kamaru Usman will fight Strickland for the championship strap.

Chimaev is undefeated with six fights in the UFC. If he clinches his seventh win against the former welterweight champion, he might find himself in the title picture. On the other hand, it is also a great opportunity for Kamaru Usman to become a two-division champion, given that he will be coming into UFC 294 with two losses in a row.

It remains to be seen how UFC 294 pans out for Khamzat Chimaev. He is the fan favorite since Kamaru Usman stepped in to fight him on short notice. However, we cannot count him out since he is a former champion and knows how to handle the pressure at the highest level.
