Ever since Jiri Prochazka joined the UFC banner, his popularity as a fighter skyrocketed. His unorthodox style of fighting was something that grabbed the attention of fans. Fans now tune in whenever he has a fight lined up and if you’re reading this, you’re probably one of them.

However, Prochazka has been fighting in MMA for quite some time now. Furthermore, he has trained and competed all over the world. An unexpected training partner for Jiri happened UFC’s very own Khamzat Chimaev. Unfortunately, neither fighter had much good to say about the other. So you might be wondering what they had to say about each other.

During an interview from some months back, Jiri Prochazka was asked about Chimaev, he stated, “Good guy, good wrestling, good cardio” which was accurate and seemed like Prochazka praised him. But then, ‘BFG’ went on to say, “nothing… SO so much special” in hilarious Prochazka fashion.

This might not have settled well with the middleweight. After all, Chimaev prides himself on dominating people. Borz went on to give his take on the sparring session. He stated, “We fought, he gave me a good stand. I had a bad stand. It was the beginning of my career”. Chimaev did admit to losing the standup against Prochazka. He later stated, “we did some body weight, I beat him, he didn’t even win in sparring”.

Chimaev then asks the interviewer to ask his coaches and managers about the fight. He states, “We made a bag out of him”. When ‘Borz’ was asked if he would fight him, he stated, “If he has a belt, I’m interested”. Chimaev later called Prochazka ‘stupid’ and went on to ask, “Why does he do such Chinese movements?” he states, “he forgot his tradition”

Prochazka didn’t take lightly what Chimaev had said in his earlier interview. ‘BFG’ sent a reply to Chimaev not shortly after. The reply was bone-chilling yet hilarious at the same time.

Prochazka certainly wasn’t happy about Chimaev airing out dirty laundry from four years back. Prochazka stated, “When we will meet next time in a cage, I will show you my true power, I will not take it Lightly more. Don’t speak about others too much.” However, Prochazka finished this bone-rattling video with an awkward ending which made it a little funny stating, “Love you so more.”

Since then, the animosity seems to have died down. Prochazka has a bigger fight on his hands at the moment against Alex Periera at UFC 295 at Madison Square Garden for the vacant UFC light-heavyweight title.
