Rising UFC star Khamzat Chimaev took to Twitter and called out arguably the biggest name in the sport in Conor McGregor. ‘Borz’ has taken the MMA world by storm ever since he stepped foot in the cage and began setting records. He has gone 3-0 in the promotion in just 66 days, beating out Johnny Walker’s time of 105 days.

Chimaev is fresh off a 17-second victory over veteran middleweight Gerald Meerschaert. Fight fans were keen to see how the Swedish-Russian fighter would respond to a step-up in competition, and Khamzat replied emphatically. Also, he has only absorbed two strikes in three UFC fights while landing an astonishing 192 of his own.

On paper, the fight itself is extremely viable as Khamzat Chimaev is a natural 170-pounder, who is fighting at middleweight. This makes his more recent KO even more impressive considering that his power translates to the middleweight division. Moreover, he is keen to keep fighting frequently and is unlikely to wait around for anyone, even McGregor.
